Since its foundation in 1997, the Korean Society of Psoriasis has been racing to improve the level of treatment of psoriasis patients, to promote psoriasis-related research, and to promote medical and patient education. Through annual conferences and journal publications, we exchange various clinical experiences and present research findings on the etiology and treatment of psoriasis. Through interaction with famous world researchers, we have been able to identify the latest research trends and develop knowledge.
To help psoriasis patients manage their psoriasis with the right knowledge, we support the development of training materials and training programs for patients, and regularly hold training symposiums on the latest knowledge of psoriasis. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all those who have worked hard to advance the Korean Society of Psoriasis.
Many researchers accepted the challenge to tame this stubborn disease and save patients from its grasp. As a result, we now have a better understanding of the cause of the disease, thus helping us achieve significant treatment outcomes in recent years. Such studies are still ongoing in many parts of the world, promising us an even brighter future.
Psoriasis is now understood not to be a skin-specific disease, but a systemic disease that is affected by systemic physical and emotional conditions. Despite the fact that the latest treatments have improved, many patients still suffer from the wrong treatment for psoriasis. There is still a lot of social prejudice against psoriasis, and domestic institutional support is very poor.
In this situation, the Korean Society of Psoriasis would like to help patients suffering from psoriasis through various activities such as research on psoriasis, education for patients and medical staff, and campaigns to improve social awareness and institutional support for psoriasis. We will do our best to be a center for psoriasis patients, medical staff, psoriasis researchers, and social support.
Thank you for your support.
